-

THE Radisson Blu Hotel Doha has retained its Executive Level Certification awarded by Safehotels Alliance AB that operates the Global Hotel Security Standard - the world’s leading safety and security certification standard for the hotel industry for a fifth consecutive year.

This shows guests and travel buyers that the Radisson Blu Hotel Doha has been independently assessed to meet more than 230 safety and security standards.

An ambitious project by Sheikh Ghanem bin Ali Al Thani, the property has been a pioneer in setting hospitality trends and service standards since its establishment in 1979. Ahead of its times in terms of infrastructure, its strength remains with its team of dedicated personnel.

“Our continued endeavour to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees and owner assets remains top priority at all times. While achieving the Safehotel Certification is certainly a win, we at the Radisson Blu Hotel Doha believe that our commitment to safety and security is an ongoing effort and that the certification is a culmination of the teams’ dedication and focus towards creating an environment that is not only safe and secure but one that is equipped to handle unforeseen circumstances,” said Gordon MacKenzie, general manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel Doha.

Led by a team of experts in their field, the audit process requires months of study and coordination to ensure the property maintains and keeps up with the ever evolving audit points and new parameters introduced each year.

With over three decades of experience, Chief Engineer Judson Pillard leads a team of technical engineers that not only maintain standards but continue to upgrade systems with technological advancements.

A dedicated team of Fire Safety personnel led by Johnson Lona, fire safety officer remains on call 2 7 to respond to any emergencies. A committed in house security team led by Omer Abdelrahman, security manager ensures the physical security of the perimeter, surroundings and continuously patrols and monitors the internal environment.

Supporting the core team is the Training Manager Deepti Mahajan, who ensures the teams remain upto-date on processes and protocol along with Basil Kinney, hygiene and HACCAP manager, who makes certain that food handling processes remain up-to-date and safe at all times.

“While our state-of-the-art infrastructure and building features ensure we maintain a well prepared and safe environment for all, it is this passion for excellence ingrained in our core ethos that enables us to strive for the very best at all times,” said Vaishali Jena, executive assistant manager at the Radisson Blu Hotel Doha, who has for the past three years facilitated the audit process and internal coordination.

“More than a certification, the achievement remains a re ection of our true es I Can spirit that is at the core of our hospitality nature,” she added.
