-

OOREDOO has announced its Nojoom Points Donation Drive has reached a phenomenal million points donated to Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) in honour of World Cancer Day 2021.

Ooredoo organised the donation drive, which runs until the end of February, to encourage Nojoom members to join the commitment with an ambitious target of a total donation of 2 million Nojoom Points to QCS. The target has been vastly exceeded, with a few days left still to donate.

QCS actively seeks to raise awareness of the disease, to educate communities and to promote early detection, while supporting those with cancer and their families, said a press release from Ooredoo.

The organisation’s campaign for World Cancer Day 2021 is I am, I will’, recognising that each individual’s commitment to act will lead to powerful progress in reducing the global impact of cancer, and that actions whether big or small will lead to lasting, positive change.

Members are able to donate via the Ooredoo App or the Ooredoo website, and can keep track of progress towards the target via the dedicated Donation Meter page.

Sabah Rabiah Al Kuwari, director PR at Ooredoo, said “We have a longstanding partnership with Qatar Cancer Society and we are proud to work with the organisation on this charitable initiative. Their work within the community is invaluable, and we’re honoured to be able to support them in any way we can. We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to each Nojoom member who has so generously donated their Nojoom Points to this worthwhile cause, enabling Qatar Cancer Society to continue to help those affected by cancer, their families and our wider communities. And we would also like to remind members that there is still time to donate ”
