Real estate trade value exceeds QR1.9 bn in April

Qatar sees total registrati­on of 403 real estate deals in April

THE volume of real estate transactio­n in sales contracts registered with the Real Estate Registrati­on Department at the Ministry of Justice in April reached QR1.999 billion. The data of the analytical real estate bulletin issued by the Ministry of Justice showed that 40 real estate deals were registered during the same month.

The municipali­ties of Al Rayyan, Doha and Al Daayen topped the most active transactio­ns in terms of financial value during the month of April, followed by the municipali­ties of mm Salal, Al Wakrah, Al Khor, Al Dakhira and Al Shamal.

The financial value of Al Rayyan municipali­ty’s transactio­ns amounted to QR768.165 million, while the money value of the transactio­ns of the Doha municipali­ty amounted to QR686.1 4 million and the financial value of Al Daayen municipali­ty’s transactio­ns amounted to QR274.702 million. The financial value of transactio­ns for mm Salal reached QR141.12 million, while Al Wakra municipali­ty recorded transactio­ns worth QR54. 77 million. The municipali­ty of Al Khor and Al Dakhira recorded transactio­ns worth QR48.296 million, while Al Shamal Municipali­ty recorded transactio­ns worth QR26.4 million.

In terms of the traded areas index, the indicators show that the municipali­ties of Al Rayyan, Doha and Al Daayen were the most active municipali­ties for real estate areas traded during the month of April. Al Rayyan led with 2 percent, followed by Doha municipali­ty by 27 percent, and Al Daayen with 17 percent. While mm Salal municipali­ty registered 9 percent, and the municipali­ties of Al Wakrah, Al Khor, Al Dakhira and Al Shamal recorded traded areas at 5 percent each.

In terms of the index of the number of real estate deals (sold real estate), trading indicators showed that the most active municipali­ties during the month of April were Doha municipali­ty by 28 percent, followed by Al Daayen municipali­ty by 25 percent, then Rayyan municipali­ty by 19 percent. The municipali­ty of

mm Salal recorded deals by 11 percent, followed by Al Khor and Al Dakhira Municipali­ty by 7 percent, while Al Wakra municipali­ty recorded 6 percent and Al Shamal 4 percent.

The average prices per square foot for the month of April ranged between QR562 - QR970 in Doha, QR211 QR 48 in Al Wakra, QR 04 - QR447 in Al Rayyan, QR242 - QR470 in mm Salal and QR 0 -QR492 in Al-Daayen, QR177 -QR 49 in Al-Khor and Al Dhakhira, and QR144QR174 in Al Shamal.

Regarding the volume of mortgage transactio­ns during the month of April 2021, the number of mortgage transactio­ns that took place during the month reached 171, with a total value of QR QR1.58 billion.

With regard to the value of mortgages, Doha municipali­ty came in the forefront with a value of QR 1.196 billion, while the municipali­ty of Al Khor and Al Dakhira recorded the lowest value amounting to QR7,415. Al Shahaniya municipali­ty did not register mortgage operations.

Real estate trading data during April 2021 shows that the real estate sector continues its steady and strong growth in various investment and commercial fields.

The sector is witnessing continuing active trading movement during the recent period, especially with the issuance of new laws and decisions related to real estate brokerage, real estate registrati­on, ownership and use of the aspects of laws attracting domestic and foreign capital.

These data also confirm the strength and durability of the foundation­s of the Qatari economy and the continued growth of the real estate sector as one of its main components.
