62nd meeting of ARABOSAI
Executive council concludes
THE 62nd meeting of the executive council of the Arab Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) hosted by the State Audit Bureau over two days concluded on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the Member States of the Executive Council of the Organization and discussed many important issues on its agenda.
State Audit Bureau President and ARABOSAI Chairman Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani affirmed that the frank discussions and the exchange of constructive views enabled the council to come up with a number of decisions and recommendations to advance the work of the organisation and enhance its efforts in developing the audit work at the level of the Arab world.
Sheikh Bandar said, “The organisation enabled us to turn challenges into opportunities as we succeeded in developing the appropriate mechanisms to limit the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the work of our organisation through the development of many pioneering initiatives that will contribute to the development of the institutional and professional capabilities of various member audit institutions of the organisation.”
During the meeting, the Executive Council approved a package of development initiatives prepared by the State Audit Bureau of Qatar for the benefit of the organisation. A proposal to sign an agreement with the Arab League’s Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) was also approved.
