Doha Academy fetes teachers to mark World Teachers’ Day

DOHA Academy Schools Management organised a special ceremony to appreciate the efforts of teachers on the World Teachers’ Day.

The theme for this year celebratio­n was ‘Teachers Thank you for being part of the Doha Academy Family and for all your efforts during the Pandemic Crisis’.

Teachers played an important role during the pandemic in shifting to the virtual learning platforms and trying to provide the best learning environmen­t to students.

The event started with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an followed by speeches delivered by Doha Academy Schools Principal and Senior Leadership Team members.

The staff from all three branches of Doha Academy (Al Waab, Salwa and DIKG) were praised through a beautiful set of lyrics devoted to teachers.

The management team members thanking every teacher and appreciati­ng their unlimited efforts that was not only limited to the classroom work, but also extends to all aspects of a student’s psychologi­cal and social life.

Video clips were played for a number of educators talking about their active role as teachers and leaders in the educationa­l process.

In addition, students of Doha Academy schools played videos delivering speeches and short notes expressing their gratitude to the teachers.

Commenting on the occasion, Harvey Trump said, “Teachers have a profound impact on each of us. Beyond our parents, they are the most influentia­l figures of our childhood, inspiring and guiding our developmen­t for the years ahead.

“We would like to thank all the teachers on behalf of each and every student for their unwavering support, dedication, passion and strength. Thank you for guiding us, inspiring us and making us what we are today.”
