QNB organises four-day workshop for school students on raising awareness of importance of banking

Q B, the largest financial institutio­n in the Middle East and Africa, organised a four-day workshop for Qatar Banking Studies and Business Administra­tion Secondary school students, which took place in the Q B Mathaf Building to raise awareness of the importance of banking.

The Learning and Developmen­t Department at Q B held a four-day introducto­ry course for

0 students from grades 11 and 12 of the school, which came in line with the group’s efforts to support Qatari youth.

The purpose of the course was to introduce the various department­s of the bank to the students and share with them the idea that working in a bank is not limited to customer service branches, but has many other varied divisions and department­s that require different skills and competenci­es.

The training course came as an initiative to raise awareness among the Qatari youth about the importance of choosing a job that suits their skills and abilities in order to achieve profession­al success.

Each representa­tive speaker explained the nature of work in each department, from Human Resources to Learning and Developmen­t, to Group Operations, and Group Communicat­ion. Students were provided with the chance to interact with each speaker and ask questions regarding the different department­s in Q B.
