Podar Pearl School opens robotics lab; move to help students get early exposure
CHAIRMAN of Podar Education Network in India Dr Pavan Podar inaugurated a Robotics Lab in Podar Pearl School on Sunday in the presence of directors, school management and senior faculties.
The lab is well equipped with latest electronic gadgets required for designing and implementing robotic systems. Robotics is an essential part of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) since it enables students to get exposure to the general functioning of a robot.
Students will be able to explore robotics from a variety of angles, from programming and design to fabrication and engineering.
Dr Podar said, “Podar Education Network is in the forefront of educational innovation and use of technology as enabler. We have the biggest educational innovation centre in Mumbai with more than 100 educational experts looking at new ways of teaching and imparting knowledge. Robotics Labs in our schools are one among the best-in-class.”
Dr Mohamed Althaf, one of the directors, said: “Forwardlooking schools around the world are embracing technology in new and exciting ways., This new Robotics Lab in our school should give students opportunities to explore and experiment the world of robotics and automation.
“Podar Pearl School is committed to investing in technology and other infrastructure that provides best learning opportunities to our students.
In today’s highly competitive field of education, knowledge of robotics and automation is very essential. We are keen to give our students exposure that help them to build their future career.”
The new Robotics Lab in the school provides unique opportunity for students to explore the world of robotics and automation. With the tools and resources available, students can gain a strong foundation in the fundamentals of robotics and develop projects that could eventually lead to their own robots. This is an exciting step for the school and students.
