Over 70,000 benefit from QC’s projects in Kosovo in 2022
QATAR Charity (QC) implemented more than 350 humanitarian and development projects in Kosovo in 2022, benefiting more than 70,000 people.
The implemented projects covered most areas of humanitarian and developmental intervention. More than 140 wells were dug and 14 projects were implemented in the field of economic empowerment and food security.
More than 54 projects were implemented in the field of education, health and social housing, in addition to eight projects implemented in the relief field.
In 2022, Qatar Charity continued the sponsorship of 3,600 persons, including orphans, students, people with special needs and poor families. It also trained more than
400 students on different linguistic and IT skills through its Qatar Training Center’.
Besides, Qatar Charity began implementing qualitative development projects, which include an Islamic centre in the Lipljan Municipality and an emergency centre in the Podujeve municipality, in addition to a health centre in the Gjilan municipality.
Qatar Charity has implemented all its development and humanitarian projects with a high level of coordination with the concerned authorities of Kosovo through the conclusion of more than 20 executive agreements. This strengthens the credibility and role of Qatar Charity in the country’s sustainable development and supporting the vulnerable.
The increase in Qatar Charity’s programmes for Kosovo exceeded 25 percent in 2022 compared to 2021.
Qatar Charity has been working in Kosovo for 22 years in the development and humanitarian fields. It signed more than 150 agreements with the concerned authorities in the country and was highly praised by the officials and competent authorities for the impact of its various projects.
