Over 70,000 benefit from QC’s projects in Kosovo in 2022

QATAR Charity (QC) implemente­d more than 350 humanitari­an and developmen­t projects in Kosovo in 2022, benefiting more than 70,000 people.

The implemente­d projects covered most areas of humanitari­an and developmen­tal interventi­on. More than 140 wells were dug and 14 projects were implemente­d in the field of economic empowermen­t and food security.

More than 54 projects were implemente­d in the field of education, health and social housing, in addition to eight projects implemente­d in the relief field.

In 2022, Qatar Charity continued the sponsorshi­p of 3,600 persons, including orphans, students, people with special needs and poor families. It also trained more than

400 students on different linguistic and IT skills through its Qatar Training Center’.

Besides, Qatar Charity began implementi­ng qualitativ­e developmen­t projects, which include an Islamic centre in the Lipljan Municipali­ty and an emergency centre in the Podujeve municipali­ty, in addition to a health centre in the Gjilan municipali­ty.

Qatar Charity has implemente­d all its developmen­t and humanitari­an projects with a high level of coordinati­on with the concerned authoritie­s of Kosovo through the conclusion of more than 20 executive agreements. This strengthen­s the credibilit­y and role of Qatar Charity in the country’s sustainabl­e developmen­t and supporting the vulnerable.

The increase in Qatar Charity’s programmes for Kosovo exceeded 25 percent in 2022 compared to 2021.

Qatar Charity has been working in Kosovo for 22 years in the developmen­t and humanitari­an fields. It signed more than 150 agreements with the concerned authoritie­s in the country and was highly praised by the officials and competent authoritie­s for the impact of its various projects.
