Telangana Praja Samithi Qatar organises blood-donation camp

TELAN ANA Praja Samithi Qatar (TPS Qatar), an associate organisation of ICC which works under the aegis of the Embassy of India in Qatar, organised a mega blood donation campaign on anuary 20 at HMC Blood Donor Centre here.

The TPS campaign received special appreciation from the HMC Blood Donor nit coordinators for arranging a huge number of donors.

Indian Ambassador to Qatar His Excellency Dr Deepak Mittal was the chief guest of the event. Among the other dignitaries who attended the event was Koduru Sivaram Prasad, chairperson of ICC.

In his address to the gathering, Dr Deepak Mittal highlighted the significance of blood donation. Hailing the community activity of Telangana Praja Samithi Qatar, especially the blood donation event, he said that it will help everyone living in Qatar including Indians.

adde Srinivas, President of Telangana Praja Samithi Qatar, in his welcome address thanked all the people who had assembled there to donate blood. He also said that an enabling social and cultural atmosphere and solidarity facilitates such programmes.

The campaign was well organised by TPS Qatar and its members as well as community members who came forward to donate blood. A large number of donors attended the camp. Many dignitaries and associate members also participated in the donation.

The other prominent personalities of TPS who were present during the blood donation were Surendhar Namala, vicepresident; Venkatesh Potta general secretary; Venuprasad Veladhandi, treasurer; Venu podakanti, joint general secretary; Thirupathi Chenavaneni advisory committee chairman; Shruthi pender, cultural secretary; Dharmarju Panchitha joint general secretary; Sinivas Adula, logistics; Laxman Mandha, logistics and membership coordinator and Ramesh Donakanti membership coordinator.
