IN-Q celebrates ten years of IDAM at MIA

IN-Q Enterprise­s (IN-Q), the commercial arm and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qatar Museums (QM), hosted a Chef’s Table event on January 17 to celebrate the 10th anniversar­y of IDAM by Alain Ducasse at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) and the decade-long partnershi­p between Groupe Ducasse Paris and Qatar Museums.

The Chef’s Table featured an elaborate culinary presentati­on boasting a combinatio­n of flavours crafted by Alain Ducasse Executive Chef Jeremy Cheminade and IDAM’s Head Chef Fabrice Rosso and Head Pastry Chef Lucas Fourdrinie­r.

The Chef’s Table, which was attended by Alain Ducasse, presented the perfect opportunit­y for VIPs, influencer­s, and the media to have a taste of the restaurant’s latest menu and enjoy a conversati­on with the Michelin starred chef.

IDAM was establishe­d in 2013, as the first foray of Alain Ducasse, into the Middle East. It marked the first venture in the collaborat­ion between Groupe Ducasse Paris and Qatar Museums.

In November 2022, IDAM reopened after the renovation­s at MIA, with Mathieu Courtin in the helm as the Restaurant Manager and Chef Fabrice Rosso as Head Chef. In commemorat­ing a decade of haute cuisine IDAM is welcoming back guests and new visitors with an enhanced menu and an

elevated experience.

Commenting on the event, IN-Q General Manager Phil Lawrie, said “We are honoured and delighted to have Alain Ducasse with us here to celebrate 10 fruitful years of partnershi­p with the Groupe Ducasse Paris. We have made great strides in this partnershi­p to transform the dining scene in Doha with the signature experience­s and masterful touches of gastronomi­c virtuoso Alain Ducasse. The Chef’s Table event is a celebratio­n of this close cooperatio­n, and we are delighted to welcome our guests to enjoy the tantalisin­g tastes and fantastic flavours of the menu crafted by the IDAM kitchen team led by Chef Fabrice Rosso.”

From his part, Alain Ducasse said “I am very glad to be back in Qatar and meet the team at IDAM. The IDAM team and I are excited to welcome our loyal patrons with a specially curated menu that will offer them an exclusive Haute French Cuisine experience in an intimate setting. This Chef’s Table event is a tribute to our valuable partnershi­p with Qatar Museums. Our chefs have meticulous­ly prepared every recipe on this special evening’s menu to take our guests on an unparallel­ed gastronomi­c experience.”

Located on the top floor of MIA, IDAM celebrates an iconic landmark in Qatar in an environmen­t that seamlessly blends local tradition with modernity and offers picture-perfect views of Doha’s skyline. The spectacula­r view is matched with an exquisite interior created by French designer, Phillipe Starck, fusing modernity with the classics to offer IDAM a dynamic environmen­t with an Arabian touch.
