Qatar University professor named one of the world’s ‘most influential’
Dr. Ali Al-Alwan has 36 research works classified in the best internationally accredited journals, among a number of other accolades
DISTINGUISHED researcher, Dr. Ali Al-Alwan, a professor of Marketing at Qatar University s (QU) College of
usiness and Economics, has researchers classified in the best internationally accredited scientific journals and was named one of the most influential researchers in the world in the field of humanities, according to Clarivate Analytics (a foundation ranking of world s universities) for the years 1 and .
In a statement on this occasion, Dr. Ali Alalwan, Professor of Marketing, said “I have a rich research record over the last five years. I would also like to point out that most of my research publications dealt with issues related to the topic of emarketing, the use of social media sites, communication tools and digital commerce, especially in developing markets, such as the ordanian and Saudi markets.” He further said “I have research papers classified in the best internationally accredited scientific journals within the Web of Science database, and I have participated in more than six scientific conferences in recent years. My research has been cited with around , scientific citations with an impact factor of H index . My name was also included in the Clarivate Analytics list, as one of the most influential researchers in the world in the humanities field for the year 1 and .”
Dr. Al-Alwan indicated that during his work at Qatar University he has been able to publish 1 scientific researches in the most prestigious international journals, and said in a statement “Qatar University is working to support all researchers affiliated with it through the backing of many research centres and grants, and the university is also working to encourage researchers to drive academic and research efforts that benefit both parties.”
In addition, Dr. Al-Alwan s also supervises master s students and has so far supervised seven students including their master s theses, all of whom have successfully completed their theses and excelled, some of whom have been able to present their work in international conferences and journals. Previously, he taught at the University of ordan and Al- alqa Applied University, and is considered an arbitrator for a number of accredited local and international journals.
It is worth noting that in addition to his current work at Qatar University, Dr. AlAlwan currently holds the position of Associate Editor in the International ournal of Electronic Government Research (I EGR). He is also a permanent member of the editorial board of the International ournal of Information Management.
