Makes Project Qatar expo a resounding success
THE second and third days of the 19th edition of the Project Qatar Exhibition, held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, proved to be a resounding success, attracting a huge turnout of industry leaders, innovators, and experts from around the world.
Held from May 29 to June 1, the event aims to explore the latest advancements in various sectors, foster business collaborations, and discuss future trends.
On May 31, during the third day of the exhibition at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), the highly anticipated Q TECH Conference 2023 was held. The conference provided a dynamic forum for industry visionaries, tech enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs to explore the latest advancements in technology and discuss their impact across various sectors.
Meanwhile, on the second day of the exhibition, the prestigious Qatar Industry Conference 2023 took center stage, providing a platform for engaging discussions and insightful presentations on Qatar’s industrial sector.
Prominent industry leaders, policymakers, and experts convened to exchange ideas, share success stories, and address the challenges and opportunities within Qatar’s thriving industrial landscape. The conference highlighted the pivotal role of innovation, technology adoption, and sustainable practices in shaping the future of Qatar’s industrial sector.

The second edition of the Q TECH Conference featured a series of insightful sessions and workshops focused on the advancement of smart cities and digital technologies.
The event began with a warm welcome note from IFP Qatar Conferences Director Ahmad Keilani. Following the introduction, the keynote addresses started with TASMU Smart Qatar, highlighting the groundbreaking initiatives undertaken by Qatar in the realm of smart cities.
Another keynote address explored the significance of smart cities in the digital transformation of the Middle East. The conference also covered topics like the role of smart buildings in enhancing stakeholder experiences and success, the challenges and opportunities associated with transitioning from conventional to smart cities, and an exploration of what makes Lusail City unique.
Furthermore, there were discussions on Qatar’s smart solar streetlights, innovative approaches to smart parking, and the ‘Internet of Things’ role in shaping a sustainable Qatar.
The conference concluded with a workshop on leveraging digitalisation and innovation to enhance smart cities, emphasising the potential of digital technology to address various urban challenges and transform cities.
On May 29, the Qatar Industry Conference 2023 Agenda featured a series of insightful sessions. The event began with a welcome note from Ahmad Keilani. Following that, two keynote addresses shed light on key topics. The first address explored the driving force behind Qatar’s economic diversification, while the second focused on Qatar’s Advanced Manufacturing Hub.
The conference also included discussions on the role of industrial areas as free zones to support foreign investments. A session on the power of material conversion and value addition emphasised the ‘Suhail Method is a Model’. The conference further showcased the application of Industry 4.0 in maintenance through a technology showcase.
Another topic covered was the utilisation of advanced robotics to automate the supply chain.
Enhancing operational excellence through the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) was also addressed. Additionally, a workshop was organised to tackle the challenges faced by manufacturing technologies, such as the high costs of development and integration, production, and low flexibility in business processes. The aim of the workshop was to provide solutions and minimise these challenges.
Over 325 companies from 25 countries are taking part in the exhibition, which has attracted a diverse audience including industry professionals, investors, researchers, and government representatives.
Exhibitors seized the opportunity to showcase their cutting-edge products, services, and solutions, generating a flurry of business opportunities and facilitating meaningful connections among attendees.
