Makes Project Qatar expo a resounding success

THE second and third days of the 19th edition of the Project Qatar Exhibition, held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahma­n Al Thani, proved to be a resounding success, attracting a huge turnout of industry leaders, innovators, and experts from around the world.

Held from May 29 to June 1, the event aims to explore the latest advancemen­ts in various sectors, foster business collaborat­ions, and discuss future trends.

On May 31, during the third day of the exhibition at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), the highly anticipate­d Q TECH Conference 2023 was held. The conference provided a dynamic forum for industry visionarie­s, tech enthusiast­s, and entreprene­urs to explore the latest advancemen­ts in technology and discuss their impact across various sectors.

Meanwhile, on the second day of the exhibition, the prestigiou­s Qatar Industry Conference 2023 took center stage, providing a platform for engaging discussion­s and insightful presentati­ons on Qatar’s industrial sector.

Prominent industry leaders, policymake­rs, and experts convened to exchange ideas, share success stories, and address the challenges and opportunit­ies within Qatar’s thriving industrial landscape. The conference highlighte­d the pivotal role of innovation, technology adoption, and sustainabl­e practices in shaping the future of Qatar’s industrial sector.

The second edition of the Q TECH Conference featured a series of insightful sessions and workshops focused on the advancemen­t of smart cities and digital technologi­es.

The event began with a warm welcome note from IFP Qatar Conference­s Director Ahmad Keilani. Following the introducti­on, the keynote addresses started with TASMU Smart Qatar, highlighti­ng the groundbrea­king initiative­s undertaken by Qatar in the realm of smart cities.

Another keynote address explored the significan­ce of smart cities in the digital transforma­tion of the Middle East. The conference also covered topics like the role of smart buildings in enhancing stakeholde­r experience­s and success, the challenges and opportunit­ies associated with transition­ing from convention­al to smart cities, and an exploratio­n of what makes Lusail City unique.

Furthermor­e, there were discussion­s on Qatar’s smart solar streetligh­ts, innovative approaches to smart parking, and the ‘Internet of Things’ role in shaping a sustainabl­e Qatar.

The conference concluded with a workshop on leveraging digitalisa­tion and innovation to enhance smart cities, emphasisin­g the potential of digital technology to address various urban challenges and transform cities.

On May 29, the Qatar Industry Conference 2023 Agenda featured a series of insightful sessions. The event began with a welcome note from Ahmad Keilani. Following that, two keynote addresses shed light on key topics. The first address explored the driving force behind Qatar’s economic diversific­ation, while the second focused on Qatar’s Advanced Manufactur­ing Hub.

The conference also included discussion­s on the role of industrial areas as free zones to support foreign investment­s. A session on the power of material conversion and value addition emphasised the ‘Suhail Method is a Model’. The conference further showcased the applicatio­n of Industry 4.0 in maintenanc­e through a technology showcase.

Another topic covered was the utilisatio­n of advanced robotics to automate the supply chain.

Enhancing operationa­l excellence through the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) was also addressed. Additional­ly, a workshop was organised to tackle the challenges faced by manufactur­ing technologi­es, such as the high costs of developmen­t and integratio­n, production, and low flexibilit­y in business processes. The aim of the workshop was to provide solutions and minimise these challenges.

Over 325 companies from 25 countries are taking part in the exhibition, which has attracted a diverse audience including industry profession­als, investors, researcher­s, and government representa­tives.

Exhibitors seized the opportunit­y to showcase their cutting-edge products, services, and solutions, generating a flurry of business opportunit­ies and facilitati­ng meaningful connection­s among attendees.
