QU, Google Cloud join hands to drive digital transformation

QATAR University (QU) has announced a collaboration with Google Cloud aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of Qatar University, as part of the framework agreement with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).

As one of the leading universities in the Middle East, Qatar University is committed to providing its students and faculty with innovative technology solutions that enhance learning, research, and administrative processes, and the collaborations enable the university to deliver on this commitment.

Under the collaboration, Google Cloud will work closely with QU to provide cutting-edge cloud technology solutions that will enable the university to enhance its digital capabilities and improve its services to students and faculty. The collaboration will help QU improve data analytics, streamline operations, and optimise resources, ultimately providing an enhanced experience for all.

He added: “Our aim is to build digital competency, digitalisation of QU operations and sectors and implement a smart campus infrastructure. Also, QU will leverage the newly opened Google Cloud region in Doha to securely store critical business data and leverage its scalability in its operations.
