Takamul to train Saudis in tourism
RIYADH: The National Center for Tourism Human Resources Development (Takamul) will impart training to workers and aspirants who wish to make a career in tourism, in order to prepare a national cadre in accordance with Vision 2030 that aims to diversify Saudi economy.
“Takamul, an affiliate of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH), will organize a number of development and training programs for operators and employees in the tourism sector as well as for people wishing to work in the tourism industry in the Kingdom,” an official from SCTNH said Friday.
The training program, which will begin next week and continue until November, will be offered free of charge by the SCTNH and the participants will be awarded with the certificates approved by the commission, he said.
Takamul’s effort to impart training comes in line with Vision 2030, in which tourism and heritage have been considered key sectors for future economic development and their importance to the Kingdom, he added.
