Action urged against father who tortured his kids

JAZAN: The mother of the child who was abused by his father has accused authorities of not taking appropriate deterrent measures against her husband.

Speaking to a website, the woman said her husband would often ignore his children and would indulge in torturing them. The police are probing her husband after he had put an iron chain around his son’s neck.

The mother expressed her surprise that the concerned authorities were silent and not helping her family come out of the domestic crisis as her children were facing psychological problems.

She said her daughter tried to commit suicide and was later moved to a hospital.

She said her son is facing bad mental condition and needs urgent medical assistance after being tortured.

The mother said that she was fully prepared to provide all proofs to authorities of what her children have faced at the hand of their father.

Her husband and son left home a month ago and their whereabouts are still unknown.

Authorities have urged the mother not to spread the video clips of violence, as it would adversely affect the victims. It said that in such a situation, providing the information to the concerned authorities was enough.

The police are probing her husband after he had put an iron chain around the son’s neck.
