Time to overcome self-doubt
It’s frustrating to hear conversations that often revolve about the scarcity of Saudi qualifications, where some people insist they do not exist, although he/she is one of them. Such conversations are not only frustrating and pessimistic, they are frequently used among intellectuals and officials, which creates a significant societal weight that turns our hopes and potentials into a huge obstacle in the way of qualifications and their development. The nature of the system that offers a healthy environment allows the emergence of competencies, in addition to the presence of competent institutions that explore talents and qualifications, such as what is known as information banks, that provide all the details for those looking for efficiency. We are a society like any other and that’s what makes it full of impressive credentials. After the cognitive development of the Kingdom, we have national competencies in all areas, but what is lacking is the mechanisms of research and investigation. We have a large number of national competencies in all disciplines in Saudi universities’ halls and corridors. Major companies, such as Saudi Aramco, SABIC, Saudi Arabian Airlines, banks and construction companies, confirm that Saudi competencies are able to manage and provide all development factors if given the opportunity and handed responsibility.
