Nahdi launches ‘Pulse of Hope’

-

Nahdi, a Saudi pharmaceutical retailer, announced on Friday the launch of its three-year corporate social sustainability strategy, “Pulse of Hope,” at a ceremony in Jeddah.

Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Mansour, deputy governor of Makkah Region for security affairs, attended the ceremony.

During the event, Yasser Joharji, CEO, Nahdi, highlighted Nahdi’s commitment to transform health care structures in the Kingdom.

Joharji said: “With this threeyear strategy, we aim to support goals of the Saudi Vision 2030 to create the needed change. We want to empower people with knowledge and belief in both their capacity and ability to improve their quality of life through effective health awareness programs.

“By bridging the knowledge gap with our expertise and reaching people through our widespread network across the country, we are equipping people with tools to improve their health and lifestyles and ultimately adding more healthy and sustainable beats to their hearts.

“We are committed to enhancing the lives of 5 million people by 2020 through health and wellness education and empowerment programs of ‘ Pulse of Hope.’ Sustainable development is about meeting human development goals, including health care, education and social wellness. Based on this definition, ‘Pulse of Hope’ is a sustainable added value to the community.”

The strategy is based on three main pillars:

“Pulse of Hope — Our Past” creates substantial shift in patient knowledge and chronic disease management, specifically diabetes through Nahdi’s “Ya Ana Ya Sukari” (I challenge diabetes) program, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Joslin Diabetes Center.

“Pulse of Hope — Our Present” promotes healthier lifestyles, improved nutrition, and fitness to reduce obesity rates across the country through programs such as “Wazin Hayatak” (balance your life), and the “Billion Step Challenge,” in cooperation with the General Presidency of Youth Welfare (GPYW).

“Pulse of Hope — Our Future” focuses on maternal and infant wellness and health, bridging the knowledge gap of nurturing the child’s growing mind and body, and enhancing motherhood skills.

Nahdi focuses on enhancing business performance and improving accessibility to medication. It integrates customer experience into the design of its stores and redefined service that its guests have come to trust.

Today, as a part of its unwavering commitment to promoting hope among the local community, Nahdi continuously works to incite health education and prevention.

As a community centric pharmacy, the company works hard to contribute to the general health care of the society by providing high quality products and services.
