Abdul Latif Jameel/Aftersales launches animated series on road safety
In an initiative to encourage positive driving practices and to spread awareness of the benefits of automobile maintenance, Abdul Latif Jameel/ Aftersales recently announced the launch of the first season of “Khebayyes & AbuHurayyes,” a weekly animated series broadcast on the company’s channel on YouTube.
Abdul Latif Jameel/Aftersales intends to use the comedy series to promote the adoption of positive habits in the community, as well as proper thinking related to daily life, as a whole, including aspects concerning safe driving habits, road safety and proper maintenance of vehicles.
“We, at Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, have always paid special attention to the issue of community awareness regarding various aspects of road safety, including safe driving habits and optimal use of the vehicle. With this new series, we strive to go beyond that, presenting the viewer with different perspectives on everyday life through the contradictory characters of Khebayyes and AbuHurayyes,” said Munir Khoja, director of aftersales marketing at Abdul Latif Jameel Motors.
“The issue of proper and responsible road behavior and driving is the foundation of this initiative. The series is especially important in light of the statistics gathered by the General Department of Traffic regarding deaths and property losses caused by car accidents in the Kingdom every year. These tragedies stem from poor driving habits and behavior on the road as well as poor car maintenance, improper spare parts installation and the use of fake spare parts. The series serves to promote the Abdul Latif Jameel/ Aftersales slogan, ‘Keep it Maintained by its Maker,’” added Khoja.
The series revolves around two characters. The first is the wise and loveable AbuHurayyes, who has a simple approach to life and great knowledge. His neighbor, Khebayyes, is an intelligent person, but needs someone to guide him toward making the right decisions.
The series has proven to be a great success as the total viewership of “Khebayyes & AbuHurayyes” episodes has already exceeded 30 million views. The series’ first season features 20 episodes and can be viewed on all of Abdul Latif Jameel/Aftersales social media platforms.
