Renault holds national skills contest for employees
Renault held its national skills contest, “Tahadi Renault,” for its employees as part of an overall annual initiative to increase employee competency and knowledge for maximum customer satisfaction.
The contest took place in Riyadh at Renault’s largest service center in the GCC region. The event was attended by senior officials from Renault Middle East, Bahwan International Group Holding, Gulf Advantage Automobiles (GAA) and employees from all departments in the Kingdom.
The contest was held to judge both the theoretical and practical knowledge of employees in the sales and after sales functions. Twenty-four winners were selected from among participating sales executives, service advisers, parts executives and technicians from across the country.
The best three contenders in each department were nominated after a rigorous competition that engaged, enhanced and empow- ered employees while boosting morale and a friendly competitive spirit among them.
The event also increased awareness about the training needs of the employees in their everyday professional lives. The degree of accuracy and effortlessness shown by some participants during the contest was remarkable. The contest witnessed a unique mix of teamwork, sportsmanship and enthusiasm among GAA employees.
By organizing an employee skills contest, Renault spurred positive employee competitive- ness transforming Renault’s team in Saudi Arabia into a more customer centric unit. It is an indication of the company’s overarching directions in Saudi Arabia and priorities that are routed in their customers’ happiness and satisfaction.
