Centro Shaheen’s new restaurant offers a taste of Japan
Centro Shaheen Jeddah, the newly opened hotel by Rotana, recently launched its signature restaurant, Sushi Centro. The restaurant’s unique offerings and trendy décor are sure to make it a favorite dining spot for Japanese food aficionados in and around Jeddah.
“Centro Shaheen Jeddah, since it opened, is increasingly recognized as the go-to hospitality spot for young and trendy travelers to the Kingdom’s second largest city,” said Mustafa Ainen, cluster general manger of Centro Shaheen Jeddah and Centro Waha Riyadh.
“Now, Sushi Centro, with its extensive selection of contemporary Japanese cuisine, will be a huge draw not only for those travelers but for their local counterparts who call Jeddah and its suburbs ‘home.’”
The new restaurant’s slogan is “Rolled to Perfection,” a nod to the chefs who have acquired the skill of producing the finest in sushi, sashimi and tempura creations. Created with modern on-the-go lifestyles in mind, Sushi Centro flavors are crafted from the freshest ingredients available, spurring expectations that the restaurant will quickly distinguish itself as the best Japanese restaurant in Jeddah.
“Sushi Centro will also introduce the ‘Bento Box’ to Jeddah foodies; long a popular tradition of Japanese cuisine, a bento box is a meal packed in a box that is divided into various compartments, each containing rice, vegetables, salad and sushi, sashimi or tempura. An extra attraction of the bento box as presented by Sushi Centro is that individuals will be allowed to create their own, mixing a variety of textures and flavors to suit and excite their own tastes,” said Ainen.
Sushi Centro offers guests a trendy, contemporary décor in addition to its delicious menu. Valet parking will be available to guests arriving from outside the hotel either for food dine-in or take-away.
Centro Shaheen is the first property under Centro hotels by Rotana brand to open in Jeddah. Located on Al Madina Road, the hotel is close to Jeddah’s shopping malls and commercial centers, and is a few minutes’ drive from the renovated Corniche.
Rotana is one of the leading hotel management companies in the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and Eastern Europe. The company has recently confirmed plans to open new hotel properties in Saudi Arabia in 2017 under the “Centro by Rotana” brand.
