Wasalak 40’s 40 & above champion in Titan Watch–JBL event
JEDDAH: Wasalak 40’s of Jun Soriano defeated R Printing 40’s 90-86 to become the 40 & above champion in the Titan Watch-JBL Invitational Basketball Tournament at the Nazeeh and Wartah (AlBaik) Park basketball court here.
R Printing saw its hopes evaporate after an error in the crucial seconds of the game. Aquino top-scored with 22 points for Wasalak 40’s and was adjudged as the Titan Watch Best Player of the game while Jamil Cobre and Pepito scored 21 points apiece for R Printing.

JDC Veterans of Jon Shareef Castillo beat Khalidia 40’s 102-98 in the 40 & above knockout game for third place. JDC Veterans came from behind to get the win as Khalidia 40’s had led for much of the game. Callueng scored 39 points for JDC Veterans and was adjudged as the Giordano Best Player of the game while Batalon collected 36 points for Khalidia 40’s.
Knights of coach Rey Maddatu defeated Movenpick 87-78 to advance in the Group B best-of-three champion- ship series. Knights caught Movenpick in their off night. Movenpick shooter hardly found their target. Knights took advantage and immediately grabbed the lead. Solar collected 28 points for Knights and was adjudged as the Giordano Best Player of the game while Ancheta had 33 points for Movenpick.
R Printing of Migz Diaz beat Clash of Friends 104-96 to secure third place in Group B Division. R Printing’s offense was unstoppable in the whole game. Magno scored 41 points for R Printing and was adjudged as the Titan Watch Best Player of the game while Gadiana had 28 points for Clash of Friends.
Maragtas Black defeated Sidlak White 85-81 in the Parents Division. Balaba top-scored with 31 points for Maragtas while Joson scored 29 points for Sidlak.
In the JBL Teens Mosquitos, Orange beat Yellow 38-20. Mayo scored 15 points. Blue defeated Red 39-24. De Borja had 11 points. White beat Black 30-22 with Hamza scoring 9 points.
