Newcastle, Ever Green, Bahi Burger, Al-Rayan Blue Star enter semis
JEDDAH: Al-Hazmi New Castle will clash with Ever Green Yanbu while Bahi Buger Town will take on Al-Rayan Blue Star Seniors in the semifinals of the CLEAR Blaster Cup Football Tournament, organized by the Blasters Football Club, affiliated with the Saudi Indian Football Forum (SIFF), and sponsored by Clear Shampoo, at the Hilal Sham Stadium on Khaled bin Waleed Street.
In their last league match, Al-Hazmi New Castle topped their group after the scored a convincing 3-1 win over host Clear Blasters, which ended MIFC Makkah’s hopes of entering the last-four stage.
Aslam scored a brace for the winner. Thoufeeq netted the other. Basith got the consolation goal for Blasters. Aslam bagged the match of the match award.
The match between Ever Green Yambu and Al-Rayan Blue Star ended with a goal being scored. Both teams tried hard to break the deadlock, but to no avail.
Kamaluddin of Ever Green Yambu was the man of the match.
Later, Bahi Burger Town beat Soccer Freakz 2-0. Shihad and Jafar Ali were the goal getters. Jafar Ali was man of the match.
In the junior section, Talent Teens juniors shocked favorites Sporting United B 2-1. All the three goals came in the second half.
Imran gave Sporting United the lead but Talent Teen rallied through Salman Ummer who got a brace and bagged the man of the match award.
Ammar Sabano inaugurated the tournament.
