Kingdom voices support for Bahrain’s security, stability
Saudi Cabinet stresses the necessity to contain Iran’s evil interference in the internal affairs of other countries
shows Saudi keenness to exert all efforts to serve and unify the ranks of Arab and Islamic nations, and to wipe out extremism and terrorism as Islam is a religion of mercy, moderation and coexistence.
The Cabinet appreciated the contents of the Saudi-US joint communique issued at the end of the visit of US President Donald Trump, including the emphasis on confronting mutual threats and enhancing bilateral ties to achieve more stability, security and prosperity.
The Cabinet stressed the necessity to contain Iran’s evil interference in the internal affairs of other countries, its fomenting of sectarianism, its support for terrorism and armed proxies, and its efforts to hamper regional stability.
It commended the outcome of the 172nd ministerial meeting of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in Vienna, and its agreement to extend the current supply-reduction agreement for another nine months.
Similarly, the Cabinet appreciated the second meeting between OPEC and non-OPEC countries, and their agreement to extend the agreement.
It stressed Saudi Arabia’s oil policy in support of cooperation with major producers to restore balance to the world oil market and minimize market fluctuations for the benefit of producers and consumers.
The Cabinet expressed strong condemnation of the armed attack in Minya, Egypt, and support for measures taken by Cairo to defend national security and protect Egyptians in accordance with international law and charters.
It also condemned the terror attacks in Indonesia and Manchester, and stressed the importance of concerted global efforts to eliminate the scourge of terrorism and extremism.
The Cabinet authorized the minister of economy and planning, or whomever he authorizes, to discuss and sign a draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the field of statistics between the Kingdom and the Netherlands.
It also authorized the minister of labor and social development, or whomever he authorizes, to discuss and sign an MoU on endowments between the GCC ministers of endowments and Islamic affairs.
