Hankook racing team posts more victories

The Saudi Hankook Racing Team came second in the sixth and final round of the Saudi GT Championship, held at the Reem International Circuit in Riyadh.

The team recently participated in the Hail Rally as well as two other Saudi drift events, all in a span of just 10 days.

Capt. Saeed Almouri said: “We always work flat out, which is okay for us since we practice well and do our homework properly. Participating in four races in a short period of time is not an easy job even for big teams, however, we established ourselves as a cracking competition.”

Almouri added: “Yes, it is hard to participate in four races in a short period of time, but for us, we take it as a challenge, which we love. Our participation in the Hail Rally was successful by all measures.

Our goal was to check for ourselves. We used Hankook DynaPro non-competiton tires, and the result was just outstanding — not a single breakdown due to the tires.”

He said: “We would not be able to achieve these top results without the support of Bin Shihon Group and Hankook Tire. For instance, in the Hail Rally, we achieved an amazing result, where we came sixth, and my teammate, Mohammed Alorabi, finished eighth and third in two drift race rounds held last month in Riyadh.”

The Hankook Racing Team was fully prepared for the decisive final round of the Saudi GT Championship. The team went through rigorous practice and was assisted by the world’s famous pit stop team, the German Black Falcon, in ensuring the highest mechanical status of the car. The team equipped their car with Hankook Ventus F200 competition tires so as to have a trouble-free race.
