Philips Lighting appoints new president for Mideast and Turkey
Philips Lighting has announced the appointment of Goktug Gur as president for the Middle East and Turkey region.
Currently managing director for Turkey and Middle East (excluding Saudi Arabia), Gur takes on the new role, in addition to his current responsibilities. He succeeds Paolo Cervini who is moving to pursue further interests outside the company.

I would also like to thank Paolo Cervini for his valuable contribution throughout his career at Philips Lighting, building and maintaining a successful business in the region.”

Gur moved to Dubai as managing director for Turkey and Middle East (excluding Saudi Arabia) in March after four years in the role of CEO for Philips Lighting Turkey. He brings vast knowledge of the project business and regional experience having spent over 20 years in leadership positions across the region. Gur graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Department of Electrical Engineering in Turkey before obtaining MBA degree at the Marmara University, Turkey and the University of Maine, USA. Over his 23-year career, he has delivered several marketing and solution-oriented projects in the energy sector, working across the Mediterranean, Central Asia and Middle East regions including Turkey.
