Rabbani wins Ramadan Kareem golf tourney
RIYADH: In keeping with tradition Dirab Golf & Country Club sponsored a tournament last Thursday on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Winning the event dubbed Ramadan Kareem 9-hole golf tournament was Shahid Rabbani with Abdulaziz Al-Omran in second place and Khalid Raja in third position.
Under a format where the five best holes are picked with a handicap allowance of a quarter of a player’s handicap, Rabbani returned a winning net score of 15 from a gross score of 17 and handicap of 2.
Al-Omran had 16 off a gross 20 and 4 handicap. Raja claimed third on countback from Shamshad Siddiqui, Mansour Tirmzi and Dr. Atli after all four players tied on 18.
All players had iftar after the afternoon event, the first during the off-season.
