Jenny from the Block to rock Dubai in November
DAMMAM: US singer-actress Jennifer Lopez is coming back to the UAE for a one-night concert later this year.
Lopez, 47, will perform a 90-minute set at the Autism Rocks Arena on Nov. 17.
117Live, organizers of the event, announced the concert on Twitter: “Pop queen JLO is COMING!! Step into Her World, November 17th! Register for presale tickets NOW...”
Gulf News quoted Thomas Ovesen, CEO of 117Live, as saying that the act will include “all her monster hits, along with shades of her Las Vegas residency and hopefully, music from her Spanish-language album.”
Pre-registration for the tickets started on Thursday via 117live. com. The website said details regarding the event will be released within the coming weeks.
The Puerto Rican beauty has performed several gigs in Dubai in the past.
She chose Dubai for her first live show in the Middle East in 2012, performing at the Dubai Media City Amphitheater. She also performed at the Dubai World Cup concert in 2014.
The “Jenny from the Block” singer has been enjoying a successful residency at The Axis, Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and has sold an estimated 25 million albums globally.
Dubai’s Autism Rocks Arena is a purpose-built 30,000-capacity temporary venue, which was launched with Nicki Minaj in March 2016. It will host a 24-month schedule of top international talent before the completion of the permanent venue in 2018.
