JEDDAH: RTJ Baguio Transient House notched a Team of the Week and men’s Bowler of the Week double during the sixth week in the OFBC (Overseas Filipino Bowlers Club) Friday Afternoon League Season 7 at the Iceland Bowling Center here.

Claiming the first-place points of five in the third game and overall output, team manager Rudy Jamon’s Baguio Transient House squad finished on 17 points, as it breathed down hard on the neck of league-leading Youngsters.

Youngsters seemed to be out of sorts and could only muster 10 points — with another two teams even better on 16 and 11 namely Arci-5 and Lucky Ones.

Spareshots brought up the rear on 6 points in the young pointsystem format tournament that awards 5 points for each of the three games and overall output to the No. 1 in the order of finish and 1 point to the last-placed team.

Rico Bulalayao set up the RTJ double by shooting the high series of 578 on scratch games of 159, 195 and 170 in a performance that gave him his third Bowler of the Week award. Team captain Joel Nidoy backed up Bulalayao with his effort of 561 while Jamon had 513. The others that contributed to the RTJ cause were Malou Nidoy on 498 and Jack Jarin on 453.

Edged out by RTJ on overall output after being tied at 12 points after three games, Arci-5 drew solid numbers from Sergio Modar 531, Eli Arciaga 521, Nap Patayan 519 and Ramon Fabro 512. Lita Arciaga tossed in 477 to round out the scoring.

Over at Lucky Ones Alan Ornedo took charge on 529. Rose Agustin missed 500 by a hair on 499 with Hadi Pacheco on 496, Johara Palot on 474 and Shahid Salvador on 415.

Despite their so-so showing as a team, Youngsters had some consolation after Carol Rio pocketed the ladies’ Bowler of the Week plum on 557. The husband-and-wife tandem of skipper Toto and Vangie Lim contributed 480 and 482 while Jaime Flores added 443 and Dan Garret Mojares 427.

Carmen Duma fired 509 at the helm of Spareshots. The other scorers were Danny Atubang on 476, Alex Duma on 454, Noli de Leon on 453 and Benj Espinosa on 420.
