British Airways unveils its top 5 autumn getaways

British Airways has named its leading hotspots for a seasonal holiday. From European villages and towns, to the largest metropoliz­es in North America, the UK’s flagship carrier is launching an end of summer sale with dozens of special fares for travelers to experience autumn.

Customers flying from the UAE can choose any of the airline’s four class cabins during the sale when they book between Sept. 12 and Oct. 1 for travel until March 31, 2018.

London

The city is gearing up for one of the biggest fashion events of the season, London Fashion Week. There are numerous spots in this city to say farewell to the summer. Travelers can watch the leaves of over 4,000 towering trees turn golden yellow as they stroll through 350 acres of urban greenery in Hyde Park. British Airways offers several weekly flights from Saudi Arabia to London. Travelers can fly to the British capital from Jeddah or Riyadh for SR2,107 ($560).

Italy

Tourists have a mix of ancient and modern treasures to explore in some of the world’s most romantic cities — from historical sites in Rome, to the fashion boutiques and art stores of Milan. British Airways offers multiple daily onward connection­s from London Heathrow to Italy. Travelers can enjoy return fares to Italy (via London Heathrow) from Jeddah or Riyadh for SR1,892.

Germany

A favorite with travelers from the Middle East, Germany has a lot to offer — from cosmopolit­an cities, castles and picturesqu­e countrysid­e, including more than 100 national parks. Travelers can choose their preferred onward connection when they fly from Jeddah or Riyadh to Germany via London Heathrow with British Airways for SR2,010.

American East Coast

The change in foliage is a hallmark of a stroll through the Central Park. From the Carousel to the Conservato­ry Garden and the Belvedere Castle, there are numerous locations to witness the leaves turn color.

American West Coast

The airline said passengers will enjoy an enhanced sleep and catering propositio­n as British Airways’ £400 million ($481 million) investment in its Club World cabins is rolled out across its long-haul services. Travelers can fly to the US from both Jeddah and Riyadh to New York for SR3,352; from Jeddah to San Francisco for SR4,715 and from Riyadh to San Francisco SR4,728.
