PepsiCo launches second edition of ‘Change the Game Challenge’
PepsiCo, the global food and beverage company, has announced the launch of “Change the Game Challenge” 2017 for the second consecutive year. The challenge will be opened to even more countries than before, giving millennials in 10 countries the opportunity to sign up and participate.
Participants — in teams of two — will be asked to solve this year’s business challenge of starting their own health and nutrition business in the food and beverage industry, in line with PepsiCo’s product philosophy.
Omar Farid, PepsiCo president, Middle East and North Africa, said: “This unique competition enables us to provide talented youth with an opportunity that will significantly boost their career, and improve their employability prospects.
“After last year’s great success, we look forward to the Change the Game Challenge 2017 revealing more incredible potential within the millennial population, who will have the opportunity to expand their horizons as part of the PepsiCo team.
“The Change the Game Challenge reflects our commitment to building sustainable communities where participants will have access to educational and informative sessions delivered by PepsiCo professionals, providing them with a novel insight into the workings of our company, and experiential knowledge that they can transfer to their future careers.”
Regional winners from Asia Pacific, MENA (Middle East and North Africa) and India are offered a job with PepsiCo in their respective regions, and are invited to travel on an all-expenses paid trip to Dubai to compete in the final round to win a one-year-international job offer or a 2-months paid international internship within Asia, Middle East and North Africa, and a trip to New York.
First runners-up are offered a job or a two-months paid internship with PepsiCo. in their home country or given the opportunity to shadow PepsiCo business leaders for a week, while second runners-up will be given the opportunity to shadow PepsiCo business leaders for a day in their respective home country.
The final winning team will pitch their ideas to Indra Nooyi, PepsiCo CEO.
Last year’s winner Amr Ezzat said: “We flew to New York, went to the PepsiCo headquarters, and couldn’t believe that we would present our idea to Indra Nooyi. When we met with Ms Nooyi, she was attentive, very interested in our idea, and she made us feel very confident. It was an amazing experience, something that we really recommend everyone be a part of.”
