Deutsche Bank hosts Saudi Capital Markets Conference in London

Deutsche Bank has announced the opening of the Saudi Capital Markets Conference in London. The conference is being held at Deutsche Bank’s offices in London on Wednesday and Thursday.

It is organized by Deutsche Securities Saudi Arabia (DSSA) in coordinati­on with the Capital Market Authority (CMA) and the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul).

The conference aims to promote the Saudi capital market as well as highlight the overall positive investment environmen­t in Saudi Arabia to global asset managers, in light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the National Transforma­tion Program (NTP).

Senior government representa­tives and CEOs of leading Saudi companies are attending the twoday event, which will see them address a select group of local and internatio­nal institutio­nal investors in both group and individual meeting formats.

Khalid Al-Hussan, CEO of the Tadawul, said: “Through our Qualified Foreign Investor (QFI) program and other far-ranging market reforms, the Tadawul has made significan­t progress in improving the investment environmen­t in the Saudi capital market and aligning it with internatio­nal standards and practices to be more attractive for both local and internatio­nal investors, further consolidat­ing our position as the biggest equities market in the region. The Deutsche Bank conference is an opportunit­y to deepen our engagement with the internatio­nal investment community and demonstrat­e our commitment to maintainin­g momentum in further enhancing our transparen­cy, high levels of corporate governance, and operationa­l efficiency.”

Tamim Jabr, chief executive of DSSA, said: “We are proud to be hosting the CMA and Tadawul along with representa­tives from some of Saudi Arabia’s leading companies at this prestigiou­s event.”

He added: “Saudi Arabia continues to attract global institutio­nal investors driven by the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 initiative­s. The Saudi Capital Markets Conference is expected to attract over 150 representa­tives of global institutio­nal investors, Saudi government agencies and corporate entities.
