McDonald’s, Bab Rizq Jameel provide jobs for Saudi youth
McDonald’s is cooperating with Bab Rizq Jameel Recruitment, a Community Jameel initiative, to provide new jobs for young people in Saudi Arabia.
The collaboration has already employed 45 people and more than 120 young Saudi men have applied for vacancies at McDonald’s Saudi Arabia, including high-school graduates and bachelor-degree holders.
The agreement between Reda Food Services Ltd., McDonald’s operator in the Kingdom’s western and southern regions, and BRJ Recruitment is in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 that seeks to reduce unemployment among Saudi youth, according to a press statement.
The positions are for trainee service and management staff, with monthly salaries ranging from SR5,000-6,100 ($1,330-$1,625), along with staff benefits and development programs.
“This collaboration with BRJ Recruitment is a confirmation of efforts to provide more job opportunities for Saudi citizens, as part of our plans to increase Saudization levels across all our branches,” said Seraj Halwani, recruitment manager at Reda Food Services.
“We also aim to provide several benefits, training programs, and incentives to ensure job stability and a promising future. For McDonald’s Saudi Arabia, Saudization is a top priority and we always stress our commitment to achieving it.”
“Since announcing the vacancies, we have seen great excitement and turnout by Saudi youth seeking to join McDonald’s. This is indicative of the awareness of young Saudi people of how important it is to join the labor market in all fields, and take advantage of available opportunities,” said Rola Basamad, senior general manager of Bab Rizq Jameel Recruitment.
“The collaboration reflects the efforts by McDonald’s Saudi Arabia to enhance Saudization across all branches in the Kingdom and their continuous work to provide multiple options and jobs for further interaction with the local community and contributing to achieving its goals.”
