LuLu kicks off 7-day Italian food festival

LuLu Saudi Hypermarke­t is hosting an Italian food festival this week.

The “Extraordin­ary Italian Taste 2017” will be inaugurate­d by Luca Ferrari, ambassador of Italy to Saudi Arabia, at 7:30 p.m. at LuLu’s Murabba branch in Riyadh.

The week-long event is organized by LuLu Saudi Hypermarke­ts in associatio­n with the Italian Trade Agency. The objective is to “introduce and promote the foods and food habits of Italy among the local community as well as the large cross-section of ethnic communitie­s hailing from various countries.”

Italian food products will be showcased in- store with the aim of increasing LuLu’s customer awareness and improving the penetratio­n of Italy’s food brands and products throughout the Saudi market.

“The LuLu ‘ Italian Taste 2017’ will give customers an opportunit­y to explore the unique Italian taste and products, such as sweets, pasta, coffee, olive oil and traditiona­l cheeses and learn more about this fascinatin­g culture,” a press release said.

“Special focus has also been given to display imported agricultur­al produce, cheese and other Deli products, dry groceries, Italian cooking ranges, other electrical appliances, house-ware, exquisite world-class collection­s of Italian perfumes and beauty accessorie­s, latest and trendy range of fashion wear and footwear to suit all age groups.”

Live cooking stations will be manned by Italian chefs, where visitors can taste authentic Italian dishes.

“LuLu invites everyone to this seven- day grand event and hopes that its customers will have a pleasant and unforgetta­ble shopping experience,” the press statement concluded.
