Samsung’s world’s first ‘Wind-Free’ air-conditioner launched in KSA

-

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. unveiled the world’s first “Wind-Free” wall mounted air-conditioner designed after careful consideration of the climate in the Saudi Arabia.

This all-new air-conditioner has integrated Samsung’s exclusive windfree cooling technology into the product’s design, providing customers with a perfect indoor climate with optimal energy efficiency and without direct cold airflow.

Ismail Yoon, president of Samsung Electronics KSA, said: “Consumers will love this new air condition and the capabilities it comes with as it cools their living and working spaces. They will no longer have to deal with uncomfortable, cold air, and high electricity bills.”

The “Wind-Free” air-conditioner provides customers with ideal conditions by maintaining a comfortable room temperature, using the latest technology to gently disperse cold air through 21,000 micro air holes.

Saher Hilal, head of air-conditioning at Samsung Electronics KSA, said: “A two-step cooling system first lowers temperature, using the fast cooling mode before switching automatically to ‘Wind-Free Cooling Mode’ creating ‘still air’ once the desired temperature is reached.” This approach can also reduce energy consumption by up to 72 percent compared to “Fast Cooling Mode.”

Using Samsung’s 8-pole new digital inverter with power-boost technology, the compressor’s motor generates fewer torque fluctuations — reducing the overall energy required and shortening the time needed for the compressor to reach its maximum rotation speed.

The Wind-Free™ Air-conditioner is also Wi-Fi-enabled so it can be controlled from anywhere through Samsung’s Smart Home app. Users can remotely regulate temperature, adjust settings, receive real time updates about performance and daily energy usage, as well as troubleshoot solutions when a repair is needed.

The unique “triangle architecture” has a wider inlet which allows more air to be drawn in at once, while the optimal width and angle of the outlet, extra v-blades, and large fan — 22 percent larger than previous — ensure air is cooled and expelled faster, farther and wider, to reach every corner of the room.

Samsung also unveiled the world’s first “Wind-Free” One-Way, and FourWay Cassette air-conditioners, using the same technology into its design, offering the commercial construction market and business partners reliable air solutions.
