KSalman met on Tuesday with Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani, secretary-general of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), in Riyadh.
During the meeting, a number of issues related to the Gulf region came under discussion.
Also on Tuesday, the Saudi Cabinet commended the king’s visits to the regions of Tabuk, Al-Jouf and the Northern Borders, during which he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several development, mining and industrial projects.
These projects came in support of the Kingdom’s developmental march and continuing strengthening of the national economy in line with Vision 2030.
The Cabinet expressed optimism over the outcome of recent visits paid by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to several Arab countries.
These visits aim to contribute to strengthening relations with Saudi Arabia regionally and internationally and continuing cooperation and communication with other countries in all fields.
Ministers welcomed the statement by the International Conference of Latin American and Caribbean Muslims thanking the Kingdom for its support.
The Cabinet strongly condemned the recent terrorist acts that claimed dozens of lives in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Somalia, and offered condolences to the families of the victims and their governments.
