#UAENationalDay
UAE National Day was trending on Twitter as it is fast approaching.
The UAE’s National Day is on Dec. 2, when grand celebrations mark the unification of the Emirates in 1971 — the seventh emirate, Ras Al-Khaimah, joined in 1972.
This year National Day celebrations will take the skies as four airlines from the UAE join the country’s air force for a fly-past from Ras Al-Khaimah to Abu Dhabi.
There will also be fireworks, live concerts, theater shows, parades, and air shows as the whole country celebrates its 47th National Day.
@Peugeot_ME tweeted: “In 1972, all seven emirates officially joined to become the UAE, we wish the residents of all seven emirates great celebrations on this special day. #UAENationalDay.”
@dubaibeautyspot wished: “May the sun in his course visit no land more free, more happy, more lovely than this our own country. Happy 47th UAE National Day!”
Saudi King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also sent a cable of congratulations to President of the UAE Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
On behalf of the people and government of Saudi Arabia, the king expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the president and the further progress to the government and people of the UAE.
The king also noted the strong relations between the two countries and peoples, which everyone seeks to promote and develop in all fields.
