The Saudi Cabinet praised Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday for his three-stage Asian tour, including visits to Pakistan, India and China. The Cabinet, chaired by King Salman, particular­ly welcomed the outcome of the Pakistan leg of the trip, during which deals worth $20 billion were signed by the two nations.

It added that it was looking forward to the outcome of the visit to New Delhi, where the crown prince will meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, following news that the Kingdom has reached an accord with the Indian National Productivi­ty Council to cooperate on energy efficiency.

At the meeting at Al-Yamamah Palace, the Cabinet also welcomed the outcome of the Warsaw meeting on peace and security in the Middle East, approved a joint statement with the UK and UAE on finding a political solution to the Yemeni crisis, and approved requests from the Saudi Shoura Council to sign memoranda of understand­ing with the government­s of Lithuania and Zambia.

The Cabinet also approved six further memoranda with the UAE on the environmen­t, water and agricultur­e, youth, housing and logistics, infrastruc­ture, financial markets and customs.

Meanwhile, an article to penal procedures stating that a psychologi­st should be present during the questionin­g of people accused of domestic violence was also agreed on.
