Brian Turk
American actor Brian Turk, best known for his roles in US drama series “Beverly Hills, 90210” and HBO's “Carnivale,” passed away on Friday from brain cancer at the age of 49.
Following his diagnosis, a GoFundMe crowdfunding appeal was launched by one of his high school friends, Carlos Marlene Montiel, to support him with expenses. It collected more than $28,000 (SR105,000), according to USA Today. The fundrasier is still ongoing. A post on the page (that was written before his passing) reads: “Brian has impacted so many of us in a positive way whether it be on the football field, at Mater Dei or USC, on stage or in our personal lives. He has always been there for us in our times of need and celebration... “We need to consider him & his family long term. They need our support for his son's future. If you have the ability to donate, any assistance will be greatly appreciated.”
The star's acting career consisted of many memorable roles, including appearances in TV series' “Boy Meets World,” “ER,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Saved by the Bell,” “Criminal Minds,” and “Two and a Half Men.” US actor Michael P. McGill tweeted: “Saddened to hear I lost a friend today. Fellow big guy actor Brian Turk. Stand-up dude. Gone way too soon.
Years of solid work. Will miss seeing you in the trenches, brother. Condolences and best wishes to his family, especially his wife and young son.” Beirut, at the MEA Training and Conferences Center.
