KSA vows to support efforts to protect maritime navigation
Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet on Tuesday called on the international community to put an end to what it described as “aggressive and subversive Iranian policies,” the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The Cabinet pointed out that the attack on Saudi Aramco oil facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais, and the use of Iranian weapons in them, threatened international peace and security, and was an unjustified assault on global energy supplies.
Chaired by King Salman at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah, the Cabinet affirmed the Kingdom’s decision to join the international coalition for the safety and protection of maritime navigation, to support regional and international efforts to deter and counter threats

Speaking to the Saudi Press Agency, Media Minister Turki AlShabanah said that the king expressed his thanks and appreciation to Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Issa Al-Khalifah, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan for their condemnation of the criminal acts that targeted the two Aramco facilities. The Cabinet authorized the Interior Ministry to discuss with the Indonesian government a draft extradition agreement between the two countries. The Cabinet also authorized the ministry to discuss with China a draft cooperation agreement to combat drug trafficking and the smuggling trade. It also authorized a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), the Financial Services Commission and the Financial Supervisory Service of South Korea for cooperation in the supervision of financial institutions. The Cabinet also decided that the government would bear, for five years, the financial remuneration for expatriate workers on licensed industrial establishments.
