EXHIBITIONS & CONFERENCES REC unveils events calendar

-

Riyadh Exhibitions Company Ltd. (REC) has announced its Exhibitions and Conferences Calendar, which includes a series of specialized international exhibitions that will take place between October 2019 and November 2020.

The calendar includes events in various fields such as agriculture, construction, health care, heavy equipment and machinery, packaging, plastic and petrochemical industries, transportation and electricity.

Mohammed Al-Sheikh, head of marketing and PR at REC, said that the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) sector is growing significantly in the Kingdom due to the Saudi government’s facilitations through the Saudi Exhibition & Convention Bureau (SECB). This, he said, confirms the Saudi policymakers’ commitment to the development of the sector as part of the efforts to support economic diversification away from oil revenues. Addressing a press conference at the Hilton Hotel in Riyadh, AlSheikh said: “From the fourth quarter of this year until November next year, REC plans to organize and manage a rich portfolio of sustainable programs covering vital sectors in the Kingdom.

“These programs include: Saudi Print and Pack and Saudi Plastic and Petrochemicals, which is the largest industrial gathering in the region; and the Saudi Health Care Exhibition, the Kingdom’s largest health care event which will host more than 25,000 professionals, leading health care providers and suppliers in the region.”

The Saudi Build exhibition, which will be held in October, will support the construction sector in the Kingdom. Additionally, the Saudi Transport and Logistics Service will host industry specialists, from courier services, air freight services, shipping agents, to security systems experts. The exhibition is expected to provide unprecedented investment opportunities and projects in the transport and logistics sector. Furthermore, held concurrently with Saudi Agrofood, Saudi Food Pack and Saudi Organic Food, the Saudi Aquaculture Exhibition will provide an opportunity for local and international companies to showcase the latest innovations, equipment and products.

The Saudi Elenex 2020, which marks its 23rd edition, will cover topics related to electricity, alternative energy, water technology and lighting and HVAC, and is expected to draw 17,000 corporate visitors. This event will be held concurrently with Saudi Aircon 2020, an international show for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). “We are also always screening the market for developing new programs that can add value to the Saudi market,” said Al-Sheikh.

Our dedicated team is always seeking to attract international programs and exhibitions to the Kingdom and is also in the business of organizing trade fairs in promising markets in the region,” said Al-Sheikh.

He said the company’s achievements in the MICE sector span over 39 years, and have contributed to the development of a number of vital sectors in the Kingdom with the support and vision of the company’s chairman Prince Saud Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal bin Abdul Aziz and his team.
