MADRASATI PLATFORM FOR DISTANCE LEARNING

-

The pilot launch for the platform was scheduled for one week before the first day of the academic year, in order to give time for students and teachers to complete the registration and training process.

An estimated 6 million students and 525,000 teachers and staff are signing in to join virtual classes every morning, once they have completed their registration and training.

In case users face any technical challenges during the launch phase, students will have access to two services on the platform to enable their interaction with teachers in the virtual classroom.

The platform will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. for middle and secondary school students and teachers as classes begin at 9 a.m. Primary school students can access the platform from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m, with the afternoon session of classes starting at 3 p.m. On-site maintenance will take place daily from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. The platform will be accessible to all students outside these hours.

The large number of users on the platform means students have been allotted specific study times to ensure the platform’s continuity and efficiency.

The platform’s 23 channels will begin broadcasting lessons following each class curriculum starting from the first day of the academic year. All classes will be archived on YouTube.

Teachers and students will attend virtual classes, except for one day a week when they are expected to attend school in person. Requests for exemptions can be made to the Education Office.
