Pakistan celebrates OIC 50th anniversary
Pakistan’s Center for Strategic and International Studies organized an online celebration on Thursday to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
OIC Secretary-General Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen said the organization will continue to advance issues of concern for its member states, including the Palestinian cause, the Jammu and Kashmir conflict, the NagornoKarabakh disputed territory, the humanitarian crisis facing the Rohingya in Myanmar, and other such important issues.” He affirmed the OIC’s commitment to promoting Islamic values of tolerance, coexistence, interfaith dialogue, cultural harmony and mutual understanding.
