The Saudi foreign minister on Monday appealed to the international community to take note of Iran’s belligerence in the

Middle East.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan said Iran’s repeated violations of international treaties, its interference in the internal affairs of neighboring countries by sponsoring sectarian militias, and its threats to the international maritime navigation are the root cause of the current regional tensions.

Prince Faisal said the GCC countries seek to enhance cooperation with Germany in all spheres of life. “These seminars and forums serve as platforms to exchange ideas between the two sides on various issues of common interest particularly in the fields of politics, security, and economy,” he said.

The foreign minister said the constructive cooperation between the GCC and Germany necessitates institutionalizing coordination on international and regional issues.
