Jennifer Aniston
Rachel Green’s vocal tick has been the new viral topic of conversation trending on social media in recent days.
A post shared on TikTok by @cts.trphe’s account has been viewed 1.1 million times since January and highlights a throat-clearing trait noticeable throughout US actress Jennifer Aniston’s stint playing the character in the hit sitcom “Friends.”
It came in response to a post from @sheherzog, who challenged other social media users to answer the question, “what is a trope in media that once you saw it you couldn’t unsee it?”
@cts.trphe warned followers, “if you are a fan of ‘Friends,’ I’m begging you, scroll away,” with the social media user claiming that it could ruin lives. Clips then follow showing Aniston playing Rachel Green in “Friends” and clearing her throat at the start of sentences.
However, some fans pointed out that the observation was old news.
@cbbruuno said: “Jennifer Aniston’s throatclearing tic is so bad it took people 25-plus years to notice.”
