Winter Wonderland returns with 80 entertainment activities
Winter Wonderland returns to Riyadh Season with a myriad of activities and rides for people of all ages. It is the largest mobile amusement park in the world and also contains a skating rink.
As part of Riyadh Season’s 15 entertainment zones, Winter Wonderland features more than 80 rides and entertainment activities including Snow Forest, Frozen Sculptures, House of Horrors, and Magical Ambience, in addition to several restaurants and cafes.
One of the attractions for thrill-seekers is the “Apollo 13,” a 60-meter-high ride that travels at 120 kilometers per hour.
With a capacity for 16 people, it is inspired by the American spacecraft Apollo 13 which was sent to the moon in 1970.
Another attraction is a 55-meter-tall Ferris wheel that offers panoramic views of the Riyadh skyline. The ride comprises 40 carts including for
people who are disabled.
There are also many accompanying events, such as Dead Wood for those who want to have some spooky experiences, and Blippi, Lol Experiments and Science Factory for children to enjoy.
Winter Wonderland is open daily from 4 p.m. until 1 a.m. on weekdays, and from 4 p.m. until 2 a.m. on weekends. Tickets can booked via the Riyadh Season website.
The third Riyadh Season kicked off on Oct. 21 with more than 8,500 activities, under the slogan “Beyond Imagination.”
This year’s season will offer visitors a wide range of entertainment options, including 108 interactive experiences, eight international shows, 17 Arabic
plays, 252 restaurants and cafes, daily fireworks and over 150 music concerts.
The other zones include Boulevard World, Boulevard Riyadh City, Al-Murabaa, Sky Riyadh, Via Riyadh, Riyadh Zoo, Little Riyadh, The Groves, Imagination Park, Al-Suwaidi Park, Souq Al-Zel, Qariat Zaman, Fan Festival and Riyadh Front.
