Saudi benchmark index closes in green with 12,439 points

Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index concluded its Wednesday’s trading at 12,438.77 points, marking an increase of 34.18 points or 0.28 percent.

TASI reported a trading volume of SR10.26 billion ($2.738 billion), with 106 stocks gaining and 113 losing steam.

The MSCI Tadawul 30 Index fell 0.61 points to close at 1,604.27 points, a 0.04 percent drop.

On the other hand, the parallel market, Nomu, closed at 25,695.82 points, reflecting an increase by 316.90 points or 1.25 percent.

The best-performing stock was Nama Chemicals Co. whose share price surged 10 percent to SR36.3. Etihad Atheeb Telecommun­ication Co., emerged as the second top performer as its share price soared by 9.99 percent to SR88.10.

Other top gainers included AYYAN Investment Co. and Savola Group, as their share prices increased by 9.98 percent and 8.16 percent to SR22.92 and SR53, respective­ly.

The worst performer was CHUBB Arabia Cooperativ­e Insurance Co. whose share price dropped by 8.59 percent to SR34.60.

The second loser of the day was Methanol Chemicals Co. whose shares price declined by 6.82 percent to reach SR17.76.

Al-Baha Investment and Developmen­t Co. and Gulf Union Alahlia Cooperativ­e Insurance Co., also did not perform well with their share prices dropping by 6.67 percent and 2.8 percent, respective­ly.

On Nomu, National Building and Marketing Co. was the top gainer with its share price edging up by 6.11 percent to SR278. Paper Home Co. was the second top gainer as the company’s share price increased by 4.38 percent to SR214.4.

Aljouf Mineral Water Bottling Co. and Nofoth Food Products Co., fared well as their share prices increased by 4.24 percent and 4.17 percent to SR29.5 and SR12.5, respective­ly. Naba Alsaha Medical Services Co. was the major loser on Nomu, as the company’s share price slipped by 8.57 percent to SR64.

The second worst performer was Leen Alkhair Trading Co. as the company’s share price dropped by 4.64 percent to reach SR26.70. Other poor performers included Intelligen­t Oud Company for Trading and MOBI Industry Co., whose share prices shed by 4.49 percent and 3.70 percent, to SR51 and SR9.90, respective­ly.
