Janice Wong Singapore’s luxurious snowskin mooncakes are a favourite with the sweet-toothed. The mooncakes ($58 for box of nine)are wrapped in house-made snow skin, sealed in chocolate, then hand-painted. Fan of American whiskey? Regent Singapore’s newly launched creations will pique your palate. Redolent with the fragrance of rye whiskey, the Barrel-aged Sazerac 6-year-old Rye with Coffee and Chocolate Snow Skin Mooncake ($73 for eight) houses a coffee and chocolate paste that is enhanced with the nutty notes from the whiskey. The snow skin is also not too thick — just substantial enough to hold the paste together well.
