Teak’s natural oils help deter insects, mould, moisture and decay. The timber’s oils lend resistance to the weather, making it a great material for outdoor use. What’s more, teak that’s kiln-dried has a lower moisture content, which helps the wood last longer after being treated.

Teak furniture can be crafted into different styles, from simple classic designs to themes such as industrial, Scandinavian or retro. It has an intrinsic aesthetic that lends itself to a variety of different looks.

Teak is easy to take care of – all it needs is to be wiped with a damp cloth, sometimes with a mild soap solution, once in a while. It ages gracefully, developing a richer hue over time, and teak oil can be applied once every few months for added maintenance.
