Step Inside…

We’re all over Willow & Huxley’s shiny new shop at Tanglin Mall like kids in a candy store, and here’s why!

- BY SUSANNAH JAFFER

Having gathered a loyal following at their Amoy Street store from the well-heeled CBD set on the hunt for indie and emerging designers, it was high time (and in response to much demand) that the Willow & Huxley team opened at a second location.

We’re glad they did, especially because the beautiful new boutique at Tanglin Mall is designed like the walk-in wardrobe of our dreams: with fresh, white, minimalist interiors, a spacious changing area and clothing rails positioned down either side of the space for easy browsing.

Its savvy curation of brands has always set Willow & Huxley apart. Now, it’s one of only a few stores in the mall carrying formalwear dresses that are ideal for black- tie prom, ball and other gala events (ask for Australian label Bariano), alongside a range of special occasion party dresses from Shilla The Label and Honey & Beau, and casualchic labels L. Space, Briony Marsh, Suboo and Zulu & Zephyr.

Its team of buyers have also focused on increasing the selection of accessories and jewellery, and the result is a tempting assortment of eclectic pieces, a refreshing change for those who are starting to find the whole “boho” look a tad predictable. From sleek, minimalist rings and bracelets by local designer Trish Van N and antique-inspired necklaces by David Aubrey to artisan-made clutch bags by Frankitas and African-inspired jewellery by Ovazania, there’s something to satisfy every taste and suit any personal style.
