Founded 17 years ago in Singapore, Camp Magic is a multidimensional programme based on the belief that a child’s imagination is activated through a variety of activities and experiences. Each week kicks off with a crew performance that models circus, music, comedy, singing and story. Children are introduced to a new story every Monday and the comprehensive weekly program is then built around this tale. The range of activities includes art, craft, puppetry, circus skills, song “baking” and map making, and each Friday there is a community performance. “Camp Crew” facilitators are trained artists and performers who have previous experience working with children and receive intensive training prior to every camp. Many families attend multiple camp weeks, as there is plenty of diversity from week to week.
